Abstract

The aim of the current research is to analyze the competitive balance of the Iranian Basketball Premier League during 10 years. This research is descriptive in terms of the purpose and research method and it is based on the total number sampling method. In this method, the tools were to collect checklists and tables that included the results. Also, the data included the names of participating teams in each season, the points and ranks obtained by each of the teams for the last ten years (from 2012- 1402). The data collection tool are the use of indices (C5ICB), competitive balance index (C5), HHI and the share of all vectors or points in one season (HHICB). The results obtained are that the league is the most unbalanced league in 1399-1400 from the point of view of competitive balance, and in 1394-1395 it is in the best and most favorable condition.
