The purpose of this study was to devise the pattern of attachment style and
social adjustment of students in Alborz province Physical Education
Vocational schools. The research method was correlation-descriptive which
was performed as a field study. The population of the study consisted of the
students in Alborz province Physical Education Vocational schools. Using
Cochran formula, the samples of the study were estimated to be 462 people
that were selected by random sampling. In order to collect the data, attachment
inventory (by Scrima, 2020) and social adjustment questionnaire (by Monet
al., 2002) were used. In order to analyze the data, the descriptive indexes and
statistical tests of kolmogorov - Smirnov, Pearson correlation coefficient,
regression analysis, and path analysis in SPSS and Lisrel software were used.
The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between
attachment style, secure, avoidant, ambivalent components and social
adjustment. Also, avoidant and ambivalent styles are eligible for social
adjustment. On the other hand, the results of path analysis showed that
attachment style has a positive and significant effect on students' social
adjustment ( t - value = 0.83 ) .
